Earthly Superstitions

I wish I never learned about earthly superstitions. Now I’m walking around with a rabbit’s foot on my keychain, I’m knocking on wood every chance I get, my fingers are crossed as much as they can be, and I’m throwing salt all over the place. I’m also wearing a garlic necklace and over-sized shoes with horseshoes attached to them! I’m terrified a black cat will cross my path, that I’ll walk on a crack in the sidewalk or that I’ll inadvertently walk under a ladder. I’m a mess! How can anyone live like this? Tonight, I’ll wish upon a star to find a lucky penny wrapped in a four-leaf clover – then I should be all set! Wait…I take that back. Today is Friday the 13th, so I’ll do that tomorrow.
